The New Antisemitism

Several weeks ago I was in Jerusalem’s old city at the first and second stations of Via Dolorosa, the place which marks Jesus’s walk with the cross on his way to crucifixion where I came across this scene that you will likely never see in the mainstream media anywhere. Jewish paramedics tending to an Arab man who had fallen while walking was not feeling well…
This scene stands in sharp contrast to the baseless accusations that Israel has committed genocide against Arabs in Gaza which are left largely unchecked by the mainstream media. Those involved in propagating this appalling lie are trivializing the word genocide making it meaningless, but that does not seem to matter much to those engaged in this blood libel. For them it is more important to create a pretext for discrimination and violence against Jews, not just in Israel, but as we have witnessed against Jewish communities and individuals outside of Israel.
Never mind the Nazis and the Holocaust. Never mind all of the other actual genocides around the globe which have taken place before and since that event. Never mind the total ethnic cleansing of the Jews from the Arab world. Never mind the genocide perpetrated by Muslims against Christians in the Middle East and Africa. Nope, depraved antisemites are seeing to it that the people who have historically been persecuted for being turned into the icon of people that committed deicide, be turned into the icon of a people that commits genocide. This is precisely what Hamas knew would happen after October 7, 2023 when they carried out the worst massacre of Jews since the Holocaust. They knew we would defend ourselves. They also knew that we would be held to a standard that they don’t hold themselves to, or that anyone else is held. This is the new antisemitism, built on a lie designed to make Jew hatred acceptable to a new generation.
